At Legacy Programs, we believe that everyone has the potential to learn and grow, regardless of their background or experience. We are committed in providing an individualized plan based on each person's needs to guarantee a successful and permanent reentry through knowledge and self-awareness.
Our faculty members are all volunteers who have a passion for assisting our incarcerated population migrate back into society. Here at Legacy, we believe that only those who have experienced the direct effects of the system can effectively coach our participants. Our volunteers range from previous offenders, case managers, social workers with CBT certifications and families of our specific demographic. Each member is passionate about teaching and mentoring others and watching their growth and self-worth flourish. Each of us are committed to helping our participants in Legacy Programs to reach their full potential. We strive to personalize our supports to each and every person while helping them reach their goals. We help others succeed by offering individualized and group supports.
We offer a wide range of curriculum designed to meet the unique needs of our participants. From career training to personal enrichment classes, we have something for everyone facing reintegration. Our programs are designed to help our participants to achieve their goals of becoming productive members of society through self-awareness, growth and individualized supports. This is conveyed through CBT based curriculum to include, job search and placement, connection to services, housing assistance, and probation and parole navigation.
Your support and contributions will enable us to improve conditions for our men and women with necessary items as they focus on reintegrating back into society. Your generous donations will fund things such as our backpack program, temporary housing solutions, basic hygiene needs, appropriate job interview clothing and funding for necessary documents such as birth certificates and State issued ID cards.
Beginning August 2024 Legacy has joined forces with a building developer to offer housing to our post incarcerated population. Currently these homes are located in Oroville and Marysville, California. This is a hand-up program, not a hand-out program. Our goal is to offer a realistic re-entry with affordable housing, job resources, on-site mentorship and parole navigation by creating a healthy working relationship with DAPO. Legacy remains self-funded in order to focus on re-entry and life skills rather than being bogged down by virtual groups to stay compliant with traditional funding sources. If you or someone you know is in need of housing services that have recently been released, please reach out to Legacy for assistance. Assistance is granted based on availability.
If you have questions about the opportunities available in our programs, feel free to send us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Legacy is a non-profit organization that has been in operation for three years with very little donations. Legacy continues to show up and show out for our participants because we love what we do and we believe there is a need. Often times, probation and prole are unable to offer the supports one needs to have a successful reentry. It is based off of this information that Legacy knows we are doing something great and will continue to help those in need to change their lives and succeed in our free world.
Legacy does not have a fee schedule. We do not turn anyone away based off of ability to pay. We only ask that you give back when you can. Leave us a good review or tell someone who is new to reentry that is struggling that we exist. Legacy programs simply asks to pay it forward, in whatever way that means to you.
CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Currently Legacy has a program for CBT that covers Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Conflict Resolution, Drug and Alcohol, Criminal Thinking and Victims Awareness. We also have additional programs that cover Adverse childhood trauma, prison-ship mentoring program and reentry 101 that covers life skills.
